This Parkside safari lodge is located on the banks of the Albert Nile, just a short walk away from the park’s boundaries. Game Drives
It is one of the most popular activities in the park where you will be able to explore the location at your leisure.
Game drives in Murchison falls National Park are one in two shifts; that is to say Early morning game drives and evening game drives.
There are a number of mammals to be seen at this park, including the lions, hippopotamuses, Rothschild’s giraffes, warthogs, Cape buffalo, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, and elephants.
It is delightful to go on game drives when you are accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide. The dry season, which lasts from April to October, is the ideal time to enjoy game drives..
Birdwatching
Murchison Falls National Park is a birder’s haven, with more than 450 recorded bird species, including Albertine Rift endemic birds, savannah birds, aquatic birds, and migratory birds, making it one of the best birding destinations in Uganda.
There are a number of opportunities to observe birds in the park during the boat cruise on the Victoria Nile, the game drive in the savannah plains, and during the nature walk in Rabong forest.
Birds to spot include the black-headed lapwing, the rare shoebill stork, the Senegal thick-knee, the Abyssinian ground hornbill, the black-headed gonolek, the black-billed barbet, the giant kingfisher, the goliath heron, the palm nut vulture, Denham’s bustard, the swamp flycatcher, the squacco heron, the silverbird, the white-browned sparrow weaver, among others.

Getting to Murchison falls national park
The Murchison falls national park is located in the northwestern part of Uganda and can be accessed both by road and by air transport.

Road transport: You will be required to drive from Kampala to the park headquarters.
Air transport: From Entebbe airport, you can book charter or scheduled flights to Pakuba or Bugungu airfields, as well as flights to the park, either by Aerolink or Bar Aviation.
