Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up and white-water rafting in Jinja

Depending on your location in Entebbe/Kampala, you will be met by your safari driver who will brief you about the Uganda Safari and then transfer to Jinja which is a 2 hours’ drive.

Upon arrival  in Jinja, connect for breakfast then have a briefing about water rafting experience before you start. Rafting is a whole day’s activity.

Depending on the time you return, you may do an optional visit of the source of the Nile and a boat cruise on Lake Victoria.

Dinner and overnight stay at the  lodge.

Day 2: Transfer for Murchison Falls National Park – top of the falls visit

After early morning breakfast, you will meet your driver guides and depart to connect to Murchison falls national park. It’s a 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route lunch.

Enter the park through Kichwabanyobo gate and connect to the top of the Murchison falls, enjoy the views of the most powerful falls in the world and hike Baker’s trail before you connect to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at the lodge | Accommodation.

Day 3: Morning game drive & afternoon boat cruise

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive in the northern part of Murchison Falls National park where we find most of the animals. The time spent on a game drive depends on the availability of the animals.

Expect to see animals such as the Elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, Oribis, waterbuck, warthogs just to mention a few.

Return for lunch at the lodge then connect to Paraa area for the afternoon boat cruise. The boat departs at 2 pm so ensure to be at the starting point before 2 pm. The boat cruise takes 2-3 hours through the interesting River Nile.

Expect to see lots of birds like the kingfisher, cormorants, and bee-eater and water animals like the hippos, and crocodiles and land animals that come to drive from the River. The end of the boat cruise offers sights of the powerful Murchison falls.

After viewing the bottom of the falls, return to the starting point, meet your driver and return to the lodge to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo – transfer to Ziwa rhino sanctuary

After having a hearty breakfast, head out for Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo ecotourism site in Budongo forest which is the biggest Mahogany forest in East Africa and home to about 80 habituated chimpanzees.

You will arrive very early so that you can start the forest walk in search of the chimpanzees; you will also enjoy the view and sound of birds and you will spend about 2-4 hours in search depending on their movement. Once finding them, you will stay for one hour with them watching them eat, rest and play. Thereafter, drive out of the park to connect to Ziwa rhino sanctuary with en-route lunch. Check-in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Rhino tracking At Ziwa & Departure

After morning breakfast, connect for a briefing about the rhinos, then to the starting point of the tracking on foot, tracking takes about 2-5 hours depending on the location of the rhinos, on meeting them spend time with them before you drive back to meet your safari driver, have lunch then drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. It’s a 3-4 hours’ drive and unpon arrival, you will be dropped off at a location you will advise in Entebbe Kampala or at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home.
