Day 1: Depart from Kampala to Murchison national park

Have a hearty breakfast early in the morning, and depending on where you will be staying, our experienced safari guide will come to pick you up by 7:00am to start your journey to the largest national park in Uganda, which is also endowed with very many animal species.

Murchison National Park Safari is blessed with four big animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, and giraffes.

Start the journey from Entebbe / Kampala to Masindi and thereafter connect to Murchison falls national park. Upon arrival, go for rhino tracking at ziwa Rhino sanctuary which is an optional activity, and continue to Murchison falls where you will be embraced by the scenery of the park, a narrow gorge 7 meters wide, because of its steepness and violent waterfalls falling to 43 meters to sea level. Here, you will be seeing falls by the imagination of nature, definitely unforgettable memories.

After hiking and having memories of the source of the River Nile, then you proceed to check in to your booked lodge.

Depending on the time of arrival in the park, have lunch and then continue to a magnificent boat cruise starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Delta, where you will find many animals, to mention but a few: hippopotamuses, elephants, buffaloes, birds like the shoebill stork, and many other species of birds.

 Boat Cruise takes you to the bottom of the Falls – Murchison falls, this ride lasts for almost 3-4 hours on water, just relaxing and enjoying the nature of the waterfalls. Your boat rider/guide will definitely be guiding you way forward and, after cruising, returning to the lodge.

Estimated Drive Time: a minimum of 5-6 hours driving.

Day 2: Game Drive, Transfer back to Entebbe / Kampala

Early morning breakfast will be served, depending on agreements agreed upon with your tour guide, at around 6:00am, set off  to Murchison falls national park for a game drive.

Your safari guide will lead you to see animals before they go for hideouts. We expect to see the animals seen while on the boat cruise the previous night and ones that you may not have seen, like lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, Uganda cobs, zebras, and very many animal species. Murchison Falls National Park safari has never disappointed, and most animals can be seen.

You may wish not to leave the park due to its diversity, but since the park is regulated in terms of park entrance hours, a maximum of 4 hours’ game drive is enough to get out of the park; then you proceed to Masindi and then Entebbe.
